  • The first person to die – Fred Weasley… this is a cruel game.

Book Two: The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon

  • The first person who trips you to escape the zombies – Nick… so unlike you, sotnos!
  • The team idiot – Ognena Maria… this is just ludicrous!

 

Book Three: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

  • The brains of the group – Liesel
  • The team medic – Rudy

 

Book Four: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

  • Weapons expert – Wolf… suppose he would be qualified
  • Team brawler – Scarlet

 

Book Five: Dance with Dragons (Pt 2) by George R. R. Martin

  • First to turn into a zombie – Lady Melisandre
  • The team leader – Jon Snow…. all for this one to be honest!

  1. Why the Weasley twins!! 😭

    I have only read 2 of those books, Harry Potter & The Book Thief, so I can’t really comment on the other characters, except maybe Jon Snow as I did read some of GoT, but didn’t finish it, my bad! Would probably be a good leader though! Awesome post!

    1. As soon as I opened the page I hung my head in shame! Trust me! Poor Fred.

      Oh I highly recommend Lunar Chronicles if you like fairytale retellings, and Bone Season saga is currently one of my favourite ongoing fantasy series at the moment just given the depth of the world!

      1. I’m not 100% sure my views on retellings at the moment. The only one I’ve read is Heartless and I didn’t much enjoy it. So I don’t know, but I do want to give Cinder atleast a go as thats the only other fairytale retelling I own.
        And that’s cool! I’ve seen a lot more about The Bone Season just recently, have added into my massive TBR 😳!

I do have concerns with Heartless simply because the joy I had with The Lunar Chronicles was partly due to how the four fairytale-inspired characters were linked, and how their origin stories fitted effectively within the world Meyer’s created. The series is so good that you actually forget at times it is a retelling as it stands so strongly as a separate story altogether. Will feedback my thoughts on Heartless once I have finished it! 🙂

        Yes, TBS should be a staple on any TBR if not devoured already! Although, I will say, the brilliance of the series really begins from The Mime Order.

I think the main issue I had with Heartless is that you know who survived in the end because they were in the Alice in Wonderland story.. so the fight scenes and that kinda thing just were boring because there wasn’t that on the edge ‘who is going to survive’ feeling! I have a spoiler free review on my blog already for Heartless. I only gave it 3 and a half stars. The writing and everything was fine, just no anticipation of how it will end.
        If that makes any sense. 😂😂

        I’ll keep that in mind. I definitely want to give it a go! Need to read some of the books I own first!! 😫😂

  3. I love this tag because it always bring hilarious results. I think it would be pretty concerning if Lady Melisandre was the first to turn into a zombie. Then the night really would be dark and full of terrors…namely her. At least you had Jon Snow. XD He at least battle White Walkers? And Wolf and Scarlet seem to fit pretty well as well! Wonderful post! 😀
